Asking for a friend that has an 86 pickup.

How does it compare to the Allpro one? Pros? Cons?

Thanks!

Same exact stuff, a little cheaper, some more extras.

Can't go wrong with Marlin/TrailGear or Allpro, although Trail-Gear is the best bang for the buck.

Trail Gear SAS stuff is great. I have a combination of T-G and Marlin stuff on mine 'cause I started buying parts from Marlin before Trail Gear came on the scene. And T-G has free shipping on an order that's as big as a SAS kit.

I don't know anything about All Pro's stuff. Their kit used to be a bit different than Marlin's and Trail Gear's, but I've heard that they're all the same now.

I bought the front kit and will be ordering the rear here soon. Besides a lower price and extra pieces the others don't offer their customer service is second to none. I started reading their message board and saw how they took care of their current customers. That sold me. When I received my front kit they forgot the wheel bearing kits. No big deal, I called and they shipped them that day along with a shirt and an LED flashlight. They're all about service. There kit also includes Bilsteins, best shocks EVER!!
Check around with their dealers. Call them and ask for their best price. There's too much competition even at the TG dealer level. I've seen some that offer the front kit for $1050.00 shipped. I got mine for even less than that but they probably won't do that again :D .

Ted and I were discussing this last week. I agree that they have pretty good service, much better than other places I've heard about. But real customer service would have had your order shipped to you correct the first time.

They forgot to put something in one of my orders, and after I called them they shipped it right out. But it was almost a week coming from CA. I've read a zillion threads on the internet that say "they forgot to ship this-or-that, but they have awesome service and they sent it right out."

Again, they really do a pretty good job, but it seems that they ship a lot of orders incomplete.

Ive got thier front and rear kits, great stuff. Plus the fact that they come with the knuckle rebuilt kit and wheel bearings and free shipping sold me. I have had some stuff missing in orderes from them to, but ive had the same problem and even bigger problems with marlin and I will never get anything from them again unless I absolutly need to. Im sold on trail-gear.

I have got some TG stuff on my rig. I was pretty pleased with their equipment. Really impressed with spring articulation in their 5 inch springs. One thing that I am upset about is their spring life. Mine are almost flat up front and the rears are still well arched and I haven't wheeled my rig but two times or so and all of that was mud runs. I spoke to Chris Geiger online and he said to call the shop and they will see about getting me some new springs or something. All the people there at TG are very willing to help all of your needs. I still plan on doing more business with them this spring when I go to dual case my rig.

If you get the 3inch kit you will most likely need to move you steering box forward. My pitman arm hit HARD. I ened up getting a custom arm made to clear. I was told it in the SAS instruction but I checked when I had problems and it wasnt.

BTW I never saw so much they missed this and that on a forum ever. Sure they ship it out right away but if it somehting you NEEDED to run say that weekend your SOL.
