I did have a break drum lock it. The hat came off the spring that holes it aginst the backing plate. That did'nt take long to fix.

I had that happen to ma at Paragon about 2 years ago. 2 or 3 times I had this awful noise in the rear. It was the hat getting between the shoe and the drum. Fixed it with a coat hanger. :lol:
