Me and Sean are working on a wheeling event this December on the weekend of the 2nd-4th.

It is still in the planning stages but the idea is:

Drive up to Paragon on Friday, spend the night in a hotel since Red Ridge is closed.

Wheel Saturday at Paragon.

Go back to hotel Saturday night.

Drive to Rausch Creek Sunday morning.

Wheel there Sunday

than drive home Sunday night.

Now the catch - not really anything major but NO trailers and the entire group has to run at least one black trail at Paragon and Rausch Creek, hopefully two or more. Which means lockers front and rear and a minimum of 33's (35's preferred)

This run should be pretty small in size, maybe 10 trucks maximum.

Anyone interested, if so post up. I will try to block of 5 rooms at a hotel in Hazelton once we decide on the date, than we can pair up to split the room costs.

Attendees:

Kajo (John)
Convertiyota (Sean)

maybe:

Knucklehead (Terry)
BeaterToyota (Jason)
Swell Searcher

Put me down as a maybe.

If I get my X-Mas presents early (Aussie and a 4.7 for the t-case) and get them installed, I'll go.

I'm a solid "maybe" for this.

It all depends on how much house remodeling I get done, which determines whether or not I start and/or finish my SAS by then.

Sounds like a good trip. I'm gonna try to make it.

Will I have bumpers by then?

I think I should get a trailer exemption, since I seem to remember driving my junk to PAP and wheeling with some trailer queens a while back. :flipoff2:

If you remember right I didn't have a trailer that time either. Here is the issue with the bumpes. Pat is leaving on the 10th of November. He is buying my half of the bender to take it with him, since I won't have a place for it in Hawaii. If you want them built here, they need to be done in the next couple weeks and I also need to finish up my cage in that time.

nope not at all, If I was racist against trailer only rigs, I wouldn't have built the one that armored owns now :P. I trailered that buggy around the east coast for the past two years, and Sean was doing it for three. We decided to build rigs that can wheel the same trails as our old buggies and then drive them home.

Hey Kajo. The first weeknd of the monthly is PAPs monthly ride. They dont let groups of 3 or more go out on those days. Gota be on the ride. Also they whack you for 10bucks if you dont pre-register the tuesday before now. They was having probems with the amounts of people showing vs. guides so they made the pre-registration.

Yup about as dumb as paying to go on a guided ride and having 20 plus people in the group  .

Well it looks like this isn't going to happen in December. To much going on at home and at work so we are postponing the trip until January. I am shipping my 4Runner to Hawaii in February so whatever I do in January will be my "Aloha Run" and hopefully all the friends that I have made in the past 6 years of wheelin' in the DC area can come out and play.
