Drive Shaft

I have an O1 X-cab and am don't know a whole lot about the mechanics but my driveshaft has a wet look around the knuckles (is that the right word?). Just wondering if that was normal or if I need to do some maintanence on it. I have never noticed any fresh fluid coming out from there though. Thanks for any help.

Are you talking about the universal joints at each end of the shaft? That would be grease coming out of the u-jounts that you're seeing. A little bit isn't necessarily bad. There is a fitting in each joint where you can add grease with a greas gun, and maybe yours needs some. It's something to check whenever you do oil changes, or if you spend a lot of time driving trhough streams.

My 01 is like that too, greased lightning the spot and watch it, I did that and it took 6 months to return, just make sure you dont have a bad joint and keep grease in it
