My '94 truck sucks. I'm gonna be trying to make it run better (check adjust TPS, etc., etc.) on Saturday. Feel free to stop by and hang out or whatever. I'm lazy and probably will start around 10:00.
Ted, maybe we can get your throttle fixed, too. I moved your trash last week so I could park in the garage (didn't want to have to clear the snow/ice off my truck in the morning. You need a new battery. I had to jumpstart it.

Word. See y'all tomorrow. Ted's coming, too.
Ted or Eric, do either of you have a FSM for a 22RE?

I think Ted told me before he has one in his 85.

Go to www.personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-buchanan/93fsm/ for a copy of the FSM. The 85 FSM will not help much with your motor.

Right on. Thanks Chris. I had that bookmarked before but lost it, and I hadn't gone searching for it again yet.

So how did it go? Get the '94 running any better?

It's still a freakin' pile. I noticed that the coolant was pretty low, so I filled that. That could definitely lead to sensors acting funny if it is low. We'll see if it makes a difference.
We checked the CEL and there were no codes. That's good. We checked the TPS, which everyone online and the manual both show as a cause for the symptoms it has. TPS was right on.
I'm gonna get a bunch of tubing and replace all the vacuum lines. They're 14 years old, so that can't hurt. I'm also gonna do a cylinder compression test, probably tomorrow sometime. See if that can explain the coolant loss. What I really want is another blown friggin' head gasket. :(
Ted's got a set of extra injectors. At 147,xxx miles I'm sure mine aren't in the best shape. We'll probably throw them in next week.
There's a ton of stuff to check. I just didn't feel like working on it all. But, we did a little bit of work on the beater that I've been meaning to get done.

Beater,
A leak down test will give you a pretty good idea if your HG is ok and if your valves are sealing.
Good luck
Chris
