4WD shops in NOVA [Archive] - Mid Atlantic Toyota Crawlers

I'm trying to find some reputable 4WD shops in the nothern VA area. I can look in the yellow pages and find them, but I'd like to know where the "good' one are and which ones to stay away from. I'm looking for a non-toyota specific shop that fabs axles for swaps, installs locker, gears, etc.

I don't have any personal experience with any 4x4 shops in the area, but I know they're out there.

www.4x4connection.com is located in/near Winchester, and NOVA****ers has this page with some local shops: http://nova****ers.com/index.php?name=NewForums&file=viewtopic&t=3708.

There are some in MD like Adrenaline Offroad, Adventurous 4x4, and Appalachian Offroad. I don't have any first hand experience with them either. You can find info about them at http://marylandcreepers.com/MCForums/index.php.

theres a shop in manassas called primal customz. www.primalcustomz.com there site isnt coming up but Twiss (chris) on the board knows the guy. you can contact twiss and he could help ya out

i dont think 4x4connection does fab work and minimal install work but are some good guys. i visited them alot when i lived out that way. theres also a shop called, i think, Offroad Innovations in winchester. they do install work but not sure about fab work. never dealt with them though

An old friend of mine runs www.belowdeckfabrication.com in Warrenton, VA as a part-time job. He swapped late-'90s Land Cruiser axles into his '87 4Runner using a 3 link setup front and rear. I have no idea what his rates are, but his own truck that he built works really well.

(Yeah, that used to be a 4Runner)

I know the dudes from appalachin offroad and there really good guys. You can contact them on the maryland creepers board.

Theres a shop out on 287 in Lovettsville,VA called West End Motors. im not sure what they do, all i know is they do alot. i would recommend them.
