Just venting alittle. I finally got around to ordering the parts to fix my broken suspension. I ordered the All Pro Upper A-Arms and Coils. Upon placing the order the gentlemen on the other end of the phone informed me that all parts where in stock and they would ship out the next day and that I would receive my order in about 7 days. After a week goes by I call to check on the status of my order. The retard that answers tells me my order just shipped out that morning. http://smilies.vidahost.com/contrib/ruinkai/Wconfused.gif Needless to say my parts showed up 4 days later.
And the plot thickens. My brother-in-law is a tech at a car dealership in Woodbridge. I towed the truck up to him so he can fix it. Labor is free. The next day he calls to inform me that the coils are installed. He pressed the upper ball joints out of the spindle, then realizes that the new A-Arms won't bolt to the spindle. The morons at All Pro didn't ship me the slugs that go into the spindle to downsize the hole in the spindle. Now there's a truck sitting on the lift that can't be moved waiting on the slugs to show up. Then the guy at All Pro tells me the best he can do is 2nd day air the slugs. WTF is what I asked him. What's wrong with overnight? He tells me they don't have overnight shipping. How is that? Pretty awesome. http://smilies.vidahost.com/cwm/cwm/angryfire.gif

Bullshit. If they have 2day they have overnight. They just don't want to man up. These places don't seem to realize or care that their screwup has a chain reaction that affects more than the end customer.
Did you talk with a manager or parts jockey?

Fuck off road shops. Every single one of them. Their job is to get product to customers based on what they order. I would say that only 80% of the time my orders from Marlin, Trail Gear, etc. arrive on time and complete.
I'm in the buying/purchasing side of the fawkin' retail business. I personally manage two specific employees who each buy and track 500 semi truckloads of product every week. Between just those two of my seven immediate employees thats 1000 truckloads or 40,000 pallets per week! Our shit arrives on time and correct probably 99% of the time. Our vendors ship the right shit, based on our orders. And they get it to us when we want it. How freakin' hard is it for an off road shop to do the same thing?

Man you know I got to the point I EXPECT my shit to be wrong or late or lost or eaten by the dog when I order anything anymore. there's very few vendors I ahve ordred from that didnt screw a order up yet and NONE of them are toy specific vendors.
Hell I was told by a local 4x4 shop my beadlocks were damaged during shipping:rolleyes: How the hell do you damage a set of steel beadlocks? You dont damage them worst than I would anyways. The guy knew me yet and knew I wouldnt care if they were bitched up as long as they worked.

From what I hear All Pro posts on Yota Tech and the National TTora board. I may just have to copy and paste my complaint over to those sites. Seeing as I don't post on those sites and this would be my first post. What's the odds they would ban me and remove the post? I guess it really doesn't matter.

I guess I'm lucky. I've ordered plenty of stuff from AllPro, Marlin, Rock-Buggy Supply, etc, etc. Never a problem.
I think part of the problem is these are small businesses being inundated with orders. The customer base is larger than they can handle.

it is easy to get orders messed between the person taking the order and the person pullin the order off the shelves or warehouse. especially for a smaller company the people taking the orders might not actually give the orders to the takers until the fed ex guy has left or something. there is alot of things that can go wrong to make your order wrong. i worked in a office supply place once in the warehouse pulling orders and it is easy for someone to not box the order you pulled with all the items in the order, or you forget and item and you wont hear about it until the customer calls back. or and item is mislabeld on the shelf. or the order taker doesnt give you the item until after or right before the fed ex guy comes to pickup and you have no time to get the order together to go out that day.
but they def. should have overnighted the item to you, they just didnt want to, we overnighted wrong orders all the time, but the company i worked for was a small local richmond business and needed good customer service to get repeat customers. I guess all pro just isnt worried about that since they already got your money:D
sorry to hear you had a problem with the order, hope it gets straightened out.

Shit happens. I know. The thing that bothers me is that my brother-in-law is doing this work for me for free at his work. Now the truck is blocking up his lift until the parts come in. So now my problems with All Pro have now become his problem.

I agree. In any business if you make error you need to do the right thing and correct the problem as quickly as possible.

Exactly. If it's your friggin' job to fill an order correctly, how friggin' hard is that? I understand being busy and I make mistakes at work, we all do. But it ain't rocket science to pull parts and stick them in a box and check off that they're all there before you ship them.
