How much would you be willing to pay to go wheeling at a legal spot in NOVA? $15? $20? $25? $30?

I'm in the very, very, very, very early stages of trying to find some land to wheel on. Jenn came up with a possible lead on guy who owns somewhere between 400 and 1000 acres near The Plains, VA, about 40 miles west of D.C. (and more importantly about 10 miles from my house). From what I hear, the guy loves being able to make money off his land without selling it, and I hear that there's plenty of boulders. Perfect.

I'm not getting my hopes up; I don't even know the guy. But I am going to persue it. I was thinking I could run it like Crozet used to be, where it's only open during "open weekends" once or twice a month. Maybe open to clubs by appointment also. Keep your fingers crossed...

Considering that would only be 30 minutes or so from me, Id spend the money to wheel there.

just the fact it's not 3+ hours away, is pretty bad ass.

45 miles from my house, it's closer than most of you are to me. I'd happily pay the same as Crozet or RC.

I'll pay 30 to 40 bucks since its right in my backyard. Let me know if I can do anything to help with this.

I hope that works out for you Jason. The area could use something like this. If I was in the area still I'd pay the Rausch rate to wheel locally.

I'd go just for the fact it's something different.

But I don't have a wheeling rig anymore, so that a moot point.

Big Boys Playground in Harrisonburg charges $10/person and $10/truck and they get a bunch of people everytime they're open. If it werent for the cost of fuel to get over there id go everytime.

I'd throw out some coin to wheel there. Being that close would be great.

So close to home, I'd pay. As for the cost of insurance...couldn't you just have a waiver for wheelers to sign?

that would be awesome only 10 20 mins away.:)

I would be willing to pay the same as RC. However, I would probably wheel there a whole lot more than at RC. Let me know if you need any help on making this idea work.

I'm in Ashburn and I've only gone wheeling once since I moved to NOVA and had to drive 2 hours to do it!

I'd pay up to 30/weekend and I'd probably go at least twice a month!!!
