Nice find, 22RE/4-door .
36's will be fine with 5.29's. My 35's are a little small with 5.29's, 65mph is about it, sometimes 70. I'd like bigger tires for trail and highway.
So you bought it SAS'd? Give some details, locked? What rims are those, look like TRD's. Nice truck!
Oh yeah, if you get rid of you 35's pm Donnie (larc68)first, he's looking for some.

So are you saying with 36's I will get better freeway speeds?
yes it was sas'ed when I bought it for 2800
square front drive line mod done
The front is welded gonna change that
rear is open but I have a e-locker and controll's from my rolled taco that I will be putting in it.
wheels are Dick Cepec DC1 15 x 8 3.75 or 4" bs seller not remembering the small details
thinking about engine builders full master kit 30 over and 268 cam and rv head kit to make sure the motor will last should get 143 hp at least according to engine builder.

You should get more then 143HP if your doing any kind of mods with a rebuild. On that model year/body style the factory 22re was rated at 145HP. When I did my rebuild I had it punched .30 over, a more aggressive cam, ARP head studs and bumped the compression to 9.5:1. I also opened up the exhaust a little and fabbed in a different air box to eliminate the restrictive Yota box. I ended up with about 180HP 22re. I don't know what the torque rating is but as long as I keep it just above idle with both cases in low the birfields shatter:).

How do you know you got 180HP now? Just curious if this was a number pulled from the seat of the pants or it was dynoed.

I'm pretty sure I have less than half of that. I can tell by "seat of the pants". :D

That's the number the engine builder gave me when he finished breaking in my cam and tuning the engine. So it could be a number pulled by the seat of his pants but he builds engine's for NASCAR so I'm pretty sure those are solid numbers. Also I know that she's almost bit me a couple times. Right after I finished the engine installed I blipped the gas pulling out of my driveway and next thing I know I'm doing a 180 in the street in front of my house. I haven't got a chance to take it up on the street to see if she goes like a raped ape but maybe someday.

Just curious man. I had a modded LCE motor and its wasnt anything special and after 1 week I didnt really notice it anymore. I had all the cool extra's as well. Header,2.5 pipes and muffler, bored T-body and ported upper and lower and the head had a some serious work done.

I noticed a HUGE difference. But then again I was running my original Carb'd 22r in my 85 that was getting about 50 miles to the quart of oil. Originally they were rated for about 85 or 90 horses new. I figure I was probably working with half of that when I pulled the engine. It still ran but when I was buying oil more often then gas and I would change the filter when the light came on I new it was time to upgrade.
