So, do you think I can squeeze these 36"s on Jenn's XJ with just a 2" budget boost?

Not a whole lot of suspension up travel, but I think it will clear the fenders, just not by much.

We don't need no stinking fenders.

The 88 is not running and it looks like the taco will be sold some time this week. The hope is I will have a house a within the next month so I can work on the 88 to get it running.

Did you mount the tires? I see the airsoft pellets on the floor

I mounted two of them; I'm headed back to the garage in a minute to do the others. After searching around on Pirate I decided to use about 12 oz. of airsoft BBs in them. I bought two tire spoons at Tractor Supply, and I made a 2:1 mix of lube using water and Crisco oil, because everything I found online said to use a vegetable based lube. They went on pretty easily. I think I'm gonna mount them on the beater tomorrow just to see how it sits with 1.5" of lift and 36"s.

I just looked at that picture again and I think the Heep looks pretty badass like that. I can't even imagine how quickly the Dana 30 and 35 axles would take a dump running 36"s.

It took around 16 oz in my IROKs I am sure its going to take more for your tires. I had 24 oz in the tires before and they were almost balanced.

You can try it with 12 but I think you are going to have to add more. You might want to try what eric said too about filling the tires to the max PSI and leaving them in the hot sun on a bucket

I do that then balance them. I use sticky weights on them and almost never have problems. Bias tires hold shape if they sit with wieght on them for any lenght of time or just mounted.
