id say research it some but do 2". Less you will have to possibly crank the tbars.

I ran stock torsion bar settings and 1.5" spacers. Worked pretty awesome. I don't know if I'd do 2" spacers. My ball joints and tie rod ends took a beating with just the 1.5" setup.

beater, what shocks did you run up front?

Stock-length front Suzuki Samurai shocks. They're a bit longer than stock front Toyota IFS shocks. They have a stud mount at the top, and the eye mount at the bottom. I think I swapped out the lower bushings to fit the bolt on the Toyota A-arm a bit better, but I don't remember for sure.

I bought cheap Ranchos at the parts store, but they were made for stock Sammis. They were alright.

The bj spacers really made a difference in wheel travel. If you get them, and if you plan to really wheel your truck, you should get an idler arm truss. The steering takes a real beating with bj spacers. I had a home made one, and before I got it I bent 2 idler arms...

I ran the same shocks Jason did but I ran Rancho arms on my rig. I had a idler arm brace from pretty early in the game and it does help alot. Balljoints will hate the extra travel from the spacer though.

Man, those were the good old days before dents and stuff, and when our rigs were still totally streetable.

How the heck do you see those things?

I cant even find my own ball and I usually have a general idea of where I hit it.
