i can tell you this, toyota better get thier heads outta asses do somethin cause thier not just competing with stupid american car companies anymore, like eric said nissan is in the mix now and the titans are fuckin awesome

i always thought the titans were hidious.
I like this new look, especially the interior.
and i like the 10,000lb towing capacity.
only problem is the tires are WAY too small. they just dont look proportional

duh.. dode has the same problem with tiresize.
and if nissan built a 3/4 ton truck then they would be almost unbeatable. but the fontier doesnt look or drive half bad. toyota better do something quick. the fj cruiser will only help but so much.

I drove several Titans at work. It would kick the living crap outta my truck hands down.
The Titan is actually laid out really nice inside.
They all look the same anymore. Cars and trucks these days have no class.

thats one of the things i like about the titan, its fuckin huge inside and make real good use of the space, it doesnt feel like yer in this huge vehicle. i luv current tundra's, but if this is what toyota is thinkin is gonna compete with the titan, i dont think its gonna

Thats about the biggets BS statement that can be made.
Where you pull that interesting fact from

I dont really agree with any one car company being all junk.
They all have their one or two things they are good at. (this doesnt count the pacific rim companies - hyundai/kia, and chevy, err i mean daewoo. they are all shit.)
I mean, as far as im concerned, you cannot beat toyota build quality/durability. They are just the best hands down. But their model lineup does suck a bit, they have no decent performance cars, nothing that really makes you want to drive. all they have are different levels of commuter boxes, and trucks.
Car-wise, i have had 2 cadillacs that actually proved themselves to be very durable, and also very nice to drive. and a buick riviera that proved itself to be very undurable, but too good looking and too fun to drive to get rid of.
Anyway, i wouldnt say that the titans suck. They are ass ugly, but seems to be a requirement these days. I think this new tundra will be able to compete with them, and it will definatly compete with the big three.
But yea, Im still holding out for an FJ.

yeah that just isnt true, japan makes the best cars in the world, hands down. weather it be nissan, toy, or honda. i personally do not like american cars unless its a CTD, or PSD. im sure others have had good exp., i have not. but to say that nissans are junk is just dumb. AFAIC, nissan is a company on the rise while toy and honda are kinda spinning thier wheels right now. obviously those last 2 will never have issues like the domestic brands (plants closing, record low sales #'s, etc.) i think toy and honda are living off their brand-loyal customers (like us) while nissan seems to keep attracting those who are fed up with shitty domestics and also taking some toy and honda folks in the process.

dude youre an idiot! nissan builds one hell of a vehicle. if they can run for 250000 miles with my father in law driving and he doesnt change the oil at all.

I had a 2002 Nissan Sentra Spec V, bougth it when it had 32000 miles on it, check engine light was on all of the time, needed the electronic throttle body replaced, and other issues. Hads to replace the brakes as soon as i bought it. It went into safe mode for a week and wouldnt let me rev past 2500 rpm. The shift cables at the shifter would bind out and wouldnt let me shift. The final straw was the wheel bearings at the left rear tire going out at 52000 miles. Took it to the shop to get fixed, and went to the Toyota dealership a mile down the road to look around and bought my Taco 2 days later. I loved the car for what it was, it was fast for a 4 banger, and could smoke the tires right off the rims. It was a 6 speed with 175 hp/185 ft/pd. Ive got a video of me destroying the front tires the night before the bought the truck. But it was a piece fo crap. It always needed work done to it.
I think the new Tundra is ugly as hell. Something about it just doesnt look right. I love the older ones, they looked grat and lasted forever. The Toyota master tech i used to work with has a 2000 with 190000 miles on it, and it has never needed a major repair, and he drives it hard, and snow plows with it. I know Toyota makes a great product, but the styling that they are coming out with on all the new cars just look hideous.

you tell me how man 80'sd model nissains you see running around compaied to toyota's ,dude don't even try to put that crap on me i've worked on em all ,nissian is like the ford of imports they build good CHEAP vehicles ,but they don't make the body and drivetrain able to run for 20 years ,if your lucky you might get a lotta miles outta one is you can squeeze em in before the body rots off the truck ,i hadly ever see any older nissains running around ,everynow and then i will see one ,but not nearly as many as toyotas. tell me the last time you seen a 80 models nissian running around that wasn't trailing a blue trail of smoke ,and find a 80 's model V^ maxima ,and hell now that i think of it ,i rarly see any frontiers running around , nissain is ok if you want a pos beater that will get you around for a couple of years before ytou have to start dropping money into it left and right.

well i dont know about delaware, but i see old nissans all the time, even a few datsuns. you also have to remember that back in the 80's, honda owned the import market and there werent that many nissans (datsuns back then) even in this country so based on numbers alone of course there wouldnt be as many. as far as the fontier goes, i see tons of em all over the place.
i will agree that nissan trucks are no where near as strong from the factory, but you gotta remember the over overbuilt drivetrains, the run literally forever engines, and the strength of the factory axles is un heard of in any other car brand, just because we as toy guys are used to and wouldnt have anything else, doesnt mean that its "underbuilt" or "shitty".

The new Tundra...
Looks like it ran into something and they left it that way.
And where's the diesel? And the 3/4 or 1 ton? They say they want to play with the big boys, so where are the big toys?

Actually I see quite a few of them here. They rust about the same as Toys.fine example of imports trucks it isnt just one brand (http://www.keystonekrawlers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1308&sid=afdd02d103693fe9feb2d305c334fa67)
Started tearing into a 2000 Toyota Sienna today with a bad motor with 90k. Must have been built in the Nissan plant
OK I'm done with this post. Apparantly some people will think what they will.
Anyway hopefully the truck turns out to be worth a dam. I'd really like to have a new toy soon.

???
There are plenty in Delaware too. I see them all the time. Hell, I even had a 2WD Frontier for a while. It made a great commuter truck.
I think these days, if there were no difference in the packaging, you wouldn't be able to tell on brand from another as far as dependability and such.
I do think that Toyotas are way overpriced though.

nobody said toys are overpriced, i said overbuilt.
i agree with you, these days if it comes outta japan, its pretty much gonna last forever. i still have to call shennanigans on those who say america makes as good of an vehicle as japan. my dads '04 exploder blew the pinion gear @ 25k. whats that about? all he does is drive it to work
