ive seen some made with 4"pvc. some exited thru the hood, along the windshield or even in the cab.

why do you want one? you gonna drive through some mud puddles? google search it and im sure you will find a shitload of them out there.

The old school cheap-ass method (which is the only one I'd ever do, but I never have) is to:

pull off the driver side fender
run some PVC out of the engine bay through the inner fender and up towards the cab
then run the PVC back through the inner fender into the engine bay, somewhere between the ignition coil and the brake master cylinder
mount a cone-style filter up there
then put your fender back on

With that setup, you move the air intake back about 3'-4' and up at least 8" or 9". And you don't have some ghetto PVC periscope looking thing going up the A-pillar. The filter is still under the hood, and the snorkel is totally hidden. If I remember correctly it only requires two 45* elbows, one 90* elbow, and a couple feet of PVC. It might take some searching, but years and years and years ago this was all the rage over at www.4x4wire.com.

Dammit. I type too slow and Munky beat me to it.

Well, I guess Roger Brown has some variations of what I described...

I have done one:

now I only did it because I needed one for the trails in Hawaii. My current runner qill not have one as I do not see the need here.
