so my pops and me are tryin to get the ac workin on the beater again. since switching trucks i used the new chasis liquid lines, condensor, etc. left mine on the truck and just pulled the to main lines runnin from the compressor. welll it worked on the old truck i had great, now it wont on the new truck.. now my dad is certified ac tech, has all the stuff for pulling vacum on the system, which we did, etc. what is wierd is we thought the compressor was locking up so installed a new compressor and same thing?
only thing i can think of is i am missing some parts or somethin. we couldnt find a small screen or orifice in any of the lines. our gauge is telling us the system is over charged and it only has one can in it if that.
so i guess my question is anyone have any insight into solutions to our problem? expansion valve? couldnt find were its located in my haynes book but that really isnt much help anyways? is there a screen or fliter on the liquid lines anywere we searched and couldnt find one. help is much appreciated.
