What kind of Events should the club plan for the summer, and fall months?

More wheeling, less web wheeling. (I've web wheeled more this winter than ever before).
We need at least one trip a month.
We really need to set up a trip to Crozet once we all get our junk running. It's so close and the trails are pretty fun.
It'll be a little while until my junk is ready though 'cause I'm lame. Plus, I start my kitchen remodel this weekend.

Events where a wide range of vehicles can have a good time. Since most folks here aren't "hardcore"
Bigdogs events + Mini takeover at PAP is about 1 a month through the fall.

I'm up for another GWNF run :)
I think we all need to make it to Paragon for the NE takeover. Anyone one who has not been to Paragon needs to check the place out.

You don't have much left. You should be almost ready.
What about the Tellico trip? You still going?

Trying. April is going to be an expensive month, but I won't have to DD the Taco much longer, the g/f will stop bothering me, and I still have to pay for my summer course.

I'll be in Las Vegas for the Tellico run, but still want to hit Tellico this year, maybe in the Late Summer/Fall.
Though I am going to PA this year, and doing both PAP and RC. Link here. (http://www.midatlanticttora.com/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=726) I haven't been out of state since the Takeover last year, and am looking forward to it!

I'm trying to get the 85 junk ready for the Tellico trip. It would be nice to have someone follow me up there incase I break down.

I wanted to find out how stock ish friendly Paragon and RC really are? I have had a lot of people say at a min I need a locker to go on almost all of the trails at RC and Paragon. The only thing my truck has is a lift with 33's. So, I want to go but I'm not sure if I can "hang" with everyone. Whenever I guess any advice or experience would be helpful thanks.

There are plenty of stock trails to run at both places. With your rig you could easily do all the green trails and most of the blue trails. The only problems you would encounter on the mid-to-upper blue trails is that body damage becomes more likely.
I've run pretty much all the blues, and several of the low-level blacks in my junk with just 32"s and a 1.5" lift. (But then I have the benefit of low gears, a spool in the rear axle, and no concerns about getting body damage).
Check out the trip Kyle is putting together to both places in June. That would be a good time to check these places out for your first trip there.

Yeah thats what I want to do but when everyone was sayin that without a locker I would get left behind I wasn't sure if I was going to try and make it but yeah I have that black 84 4runner that was at the "dirty thrity" and she could hang with everyone there except on steep hills she would stall b/c of the carb but other than that it was fun but yeah thanks for the info I will try to make it.

Yeah, you should "Follow the red truck" up to PA with us. Trust me, we're not taking anything harder than the rock you played on at GWNF if it doesn't have a bypass.

Thanks for all of the info and I will try to make it I know it will be fun and warmer out too. When are you guys planning this trip, I think it will all boil down to when is payday and if gas is really going to be up to $4.00 for regular, my truck may be a 4cyl, but between those tires and stock gears and the carb just p*ssing fuel away lol I'll just have to wait and see but I want to go.

You'll be fine on the easy and moderate trails. A "locker" is a locking differential in one or both of your axles. It gives you full power to both wheels on that axle, instead of letting only one spin when you lose traction or lift a tire into the air.

There isn't anything close. Crozet and GWNF are in VA to the south, and Rausch Creek and Paragon are in PA to the north. Sorry, but MD sucks. :D

That is BS  You dont need a locker to run those places. We ran a stock pathfinder all over the park in the snow. Lift and 33s I wouldnt even worry about wheeling either place.

Awesome, I can't wait to go if I can. You guys are the best when it comes to info, I'm just glad I am able to hang with everyone, a friend has a **** and he was saying you need at least a locker to do paragon, so I glad I have the right info. Thanks Again, I will have to let you guys know when it gets closer if I can go. I'll try and see if we can get John(green Dakota), and even maybe our friend that got that truck from 88runner86up, he wants to take it off roading, he's such a redneck it fits him well(lol)

As long as you don't care about body damage, you should be fine. Before I regeared and locked my '85, I ran Blues and Lows Black at both parks with stock gearing, and mild lift and 33's.

I have been to both parks with just a 2" lift with stock tires. I have a bunch of friends with Heeps that are locked and have 35s and I go every where they do!(98%) PICKING YOUR LINE WILL MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE
