[b]Hello there, I admit it...its not a 4x4...I have a 98 Tacoma 2wd,
spacers in front, helpers in the rear, Detroit TruTrac and new gears
on the way. I run 31" Goodyear Extra-Grips. Mainly a trail-truck...
not a rock-climber. My favorite place to drive is out at Green Ridge
forest in Alleghany County. My Taco wants to grow up to be a real
truck......I keep dreaming.

I'm not going to laugh. Almost every trail I've seen in the National Forest system in the Mid-Atlantic can be run by a 4x2 if the driver can handle it.
You drive a Toyota, and you run off road, so you are welcome here IMO.
When running Harrisonburg area GWNF, Shoe Creek, or Big Levels, I almost always drive in 2WD until I need 4WD or the rear locker; then I get through how I think is best.
IMO, a rear-locked 2WD does about as well as an open/open 4WD in most situations. Better in some, worse in others.
All the same, welcome to the forum!

Me and some friends used to camp there and run the ORV trail with our Honda Odesseys.
