If you want to come to Charles Town you can take a closer look at mine. I don't have a Tacoma but it may spark some ideas for you. I made plate brackets to mount to the factory front postions then 'L' plates to mount to where the factory tow hooks go. It's all bolt up, I didn't want to weld it on at the time.

What kind of bender did you use to make your front bumper?
I used to go to school up that way in Shepherdstown last year and your runner looks rather familiar. How much time do you have in that bumper and where did you pick up the tube?

I'm right across the river from Charlestown in MD. I have done a bumper or two. My bumper cups the frame ends and bolt s to it. I also used the tow hook bolts.

I have a JD2 bender. My dad gave me a bunch of sch. 40 pipe so I picked up some pipe dies. I also have a couple of tube dies like 1 1/2" which will work great for my interior cage. I feel sch. 40 pipe is plenty strong enough for bumpers and sliders, especially when it's free. My cage will be D.O.M.
It really didn't take too much time because it's such a simple design. I sdid however spend alot of time trying to figure out how and where to mount the side bars. I didn't want to mount them to the front vertical bars as alot of guys do.
