My directions are pretty vague, can someone post up some decent directions and I'll put them in the first post.

Here's a map that RedTrooper scanned and posted. Use it to get your ass to Flagpole Knob. For reference, the meadow where we usually camp is at the south edge of Switzer Lake.

We are on Igo Rd, right across from Lake Jefferson. Where is Jason at these days? I haven't seen him in months!

So whats not to like about the lower meadow? Shade, no wind, no drop off cliffs for drunk people and little ones to avoid. I'm just a little concerned with taking Hunter up there, esp if its cold and rainy like last year. So put me down as Tentative as Ill be checking out the weather, but I'm still concerned with him pushing his truck off the mountain and him going down with it.

Keith,
There are some nice camping spots without the sharp dropoffs between RT924 and Flagpole Knob summitt. I am planning on heading up Wednesday afternoon and finding a nice spot.

My father was scheduled an appointment in Harrisonburg at 10:30 on Weds so I took a half day and we will be heading up to Flagpole Knob area that early afternoon.

Best thing to do is check out Google maps and enter in your address and then enter in Harrisonburg, VA to give you a general idea of what roads you think you are going to take. Do you prefer interstate driving or back roads.. stuff like that.

Here is what Google maps says: Northern route. I would take the southern route; 301 south across the Potomac River bridge, route 17 (Marsh Road) to Culpeper on to points west.
